British snowboarder Mia Brookes made history when she became the youngest world champion snowboarder in 2023, winning the slopestyle event at the FIS Snowboard World Championships at the age of 16.
In 2023 the athlete was named BBC Young Sports Personality of the Year, Young Sportswoman of the Year by The Times and has secured nine podium finishes in the Snowboard World Cup circuit from January 2023 to January 2025. In January 2025, Brookes claimed her spot as the global number one in women's big air snowboarding, thanks to her second consecutive win at the Big Air World Cup and has her sights set on the 2026 Winter Olympic Games.
